    • About This Activity

    • In this we will visit the cinnamon plantation bordering Villa Kurundu (Kurundu meaning Cinnamon in Sinhala) and upon entry to the plantation a local cinnamon planter will greet us. We walk through the cinnamon plantation where we learn how about cinnamon, the best cinnamon in the world produced in the Southern Province. We then head back to Villa Kurundu where we can see the process of producing by starting to peel it. Visitors to this villa can participate in peeling cinnamon. Thereafter, we will walk about 100 meters to visit a cinnamon factory where we can see the entire process of cinnamon production as edible cinnamon and packaging it to be sent to the market. Thereafter, we visit luxurious Kahanda Kanda where a delicious four course lunch infused with cinnamon awaits us.
